BR-2 Dome Oven Recipe - Zesty Meatloaf

This BR-2 BBQ recipe is from Chef Joey. So easy and quick compared to conventional methods.  Now available to you to try with your BR-2 Dome Oven & Roaster!

Main Ingredients

 1 lb                  Hambuger
½ lb                 Zesty Italian Ground Sausage
1 cup               Chopped Onions
1 cup               Chopped Mushrooms (optional)
1 Egg
1 cup               Milk
1 cup               Bread crumbs
2 tsp                Garlic Salt
2 tsp                Black Pepper


Sauce Ingredients

1/3 cup           Ketchup
2 Tbsp             Brown Sugar
Pinch               Oregano        



  1. Preheat Karrsen BR-2 Dome Oven to 425 degrees. Place Reversible Cooking rack on Bottom Pan of BR-2 in the High Position.
  2. Prepare Meatloaf by mixing Main ingredients in a Med or Large Bowl.
  3. Coat 4”x 8” Loaf Pan with Olive oil.
  4. Place Meatloaf mix into Loaf Pan.
  5. Mix Sauce Ingredients, Ketchup & Brown Sugar in a small bowl & drizzle over uncooked Meatloaf.
  6. Roast in your BR-2 Dome Oven for 40 minutes. Check internal temperature of the Meatloaf using a meat thermometer.  (USDA Guidelines = 145 degrees F before resting)
  7. Remove Meatloaf from the Reversible Cooking Rack, place on cooling rack/trivets and allow to rest for 3 minutes before Enjoying!
